In his welcome remarks at the Valentine’s Transact & Win Prize Handover Ceremony, NetOne Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Raphael Mushanawani reiterated his company’s commitment to putting the customer first in all its operations.

“As Netone, we continue to reach out to you our customers by developing products that meet your changing needs especially in times like these where access to Mobile Financial Services platforms has become a genuine need and a key facilitator of our day-to-day transactions.

“Our vision is to transform lives and develop communities through seamless communication solutions. As such, we continue to unveil products such as the One Money platform which facilitates an array of transactions for customer convenience and avails access to airtime and bundle purchase, ZESA & Municipality Payments as well as person to person, person to business transactions,” Mr. Mushanawani said.

The One Money platform is also the backbone to the recently launched One Money Remit service which allows the sending and receiving of foreign currency locally through Netone Shops and selected Agents countrywide.

“We thank you for your participation in our Valentine’s Transact & Win Competition. It is our pride and joy as Netone to see our customers support and retain loyalty to us. “As we continue to grow the OneMoney brand, I must hasten to say that Netone’s aim is to transform people’s lives in this digital era by bringing convenience to you, our customers, through our innovative products in line with President Mnangagwa’s vision of making Zimbabwe a middle-income economy by 2030. Thank you for choosing One Money as your transaction platform. Today, we are rewarding you for your continued support,” Mr. Musunda said.

The winners were Shane Thomas Taylor, Oscar Rimosi, Chipo Reya Museka, Takudzwa Nyakatsapa, Patie Vomie, Alois Makatsari, Sheunesu Chikova Shumba, Mai Mhofela, Sandy Mtunzy, and Simbarashe Machezera.

Each of the 10 winners walked away with a Huawei Y3 phone, as well as Netone-branded T-shirts, bags, hats, and caps.

One of the winners, Patie Vomie, in an interview with Spiked Online Media after receiving the prize, said she will stick to Netone, which according to her, is the only genuine mobile network service provider that has customers at its heart.

“Today, I make a vow to walk along with Netone only as my network services provider in my entire lifetime. I made a transaction of only RTGS$6 500 not knowing that from that move, I would own my dream phone like I have done today. Transacting using OneMoney gives all customers a 10% discount on airtime purchases, a feat that no one else on the market has attempted to do. The OneMoney card is also convenient in that I use it for swiping for groceries, school fees, and so forth. With OneMoney card, customers have a convenient ATM card in their pocket,” Vomie said.

Simbarashe Muchezera, on his part, equated NetOne to a lifetime friend ‘who returns the kiss with a favour.’

“It is encouraging when a service provider rewards its customers in such a big way. I didn’t own a smartphone of this nature before I entered the Valentine’s Transact & Win competition. I encourage all Zimbabweans to join NetOne in order to enjoy their services and be winners like me tomorrow,” Muchezera said.
