An upcoming gospel arstiste, Dorcas Moyo expressed satisfaction in her efforts in the music industry in 2021.
Speaking to Spiked Online Media, the artiste said despite the hindrances brought about by the Covid -19 pandemic, the year 2021 was saturated with grace and has seen her claiming top positions on many radio stations during the year end competitions.
“I am still shell-shocked with the way we performed in 2021 but I give Glory to God who enabled us. I am enthralled, enchanted, and humbled by that.
“We came first with Bvisai Marara on Diamond Fm. On 98,4 Fm in Midlands, we number 2, on YA FM in Zvishavane, we were number 2 while on Radio Zimbabwe Gospel Top 50, we were on number 4. On Nyaminyami FM we also came first with Murapi, on ZTV, with Bvisai Marara video we were on number 8. Such achievement is unbelievable,” said Moyo.
She expressed gratitude to her fans and promised to bring some more entertainment in 2022 and encouraged other upcoming artistes to work hard and not lose hope.
“To our esteemed fans whom I prefer calling a family, I say thank you very much. Without your support, we wouldn’t have done that. Let’s stick together for we are strong together.
“I want to encourage my fellow upcoming artistes not to lose hope no matter how the devil might try to pull you down. We do not fight with flesh and blood but with the principalities of the darkness. I advise you to soldier on.”
However, Moyo indicated that the year 2021 was not easy due to disruptions by the Covid-19 pandemic which affected their operations as musicians.
“The pandemic has brought everything to a  halt. Its ravaging effects have spared nobody including us as artistes. When we expected to make a living through shows, fate had other plans but however we have faith and confidence in God who will see us through all these challenges,” said Moyo.
To date, Dorcas Moyo has seven albums since she released her first album in 2009.
