A 26-year-old upcoming Afropop and hip-hop artiste has been making waves with his unique style of celebrating the African culture through his music.
Born Kumbirai Alexio Jenami, ‘The African Fargo’  burst into the musical scene in 2013, and ever since he has been making a name for himself by using indigenous languages.
“I started doing music professionally in 2013 and signed under various music stables that include ZimTalent TV and Myoozika. I also had the privilege to work with big producers like  Blackboi The Dan of Allied Kings Ent, Nyasha Timbe of Nyasha Timbe Music, and DJ Fultronic of Y-Not Music,” says The African Fargo.
“I use indigenous language to reflect our traditional and African culture. Even my performances do show ‘Africaness’ in them”
According to King  James from Allied Kings Entertainment, the young artiste is set to rock the hip-hop scene and has what it takes to rock the country and the region.
“His work and music emulate our new school’s African culture, the lyrics are a strong form of storytelling, which is the main media that is used in the modern day to teach, train, and entertain as well as bond families and communities. Unity, Love, and Oneness in our societies from a local scale to global is his angle of approach in his music.
“Trust me he has all the potential to make a mark in the Afropop and hip hop scene not only in Zimbabwe but the region,” highlighted King James.
The African Fargo has shared the stage with other big artistes at the Booties Pharmacy Purple Festival, Zimtalent Festival, ZimMhanzi Authentic Festival, and The UZ Linkup Catalogue.
