Founder and CEO of pioneering immigration tech startup Shirah and edutech platform Studendly, Ms. Bukky Abaniwonda, is set to embark on a pivotal visit to Zimbabwe from January 14th -January 24th, 2024.

Ms. Abaniwonda, a Canadian registered immigration consultant, has successfully facilitated over 2500 individuals and businesses through Shirah and Studendly, empowering them to establish thriving lives and careers in Canada.

Initially a consultancy offering professional services for those relocating to Canada, Shirah has evolved into a fully tech-enabled startup pioneering groundbreaking immigration solutions. Their predictive calculator is a powerful tool that streamlines the immigration process into a DIY process, the first of its kind in the industry.

Studendly aims to empower young Africans to compete with their peers globally. Recognizing the significance of quality education in creating economic opportunities, Studendly provides aspiring students with the access and information to apply to Canadian post-secondary educational institutions, access comprehensive guides, and receive support throughout the relocation process until they are settled in Canada.

Bukky Abaniwonda is motivated by her drive to create inventive solutions for unique African problems. “I believe some of the world’s innovative solutions to global challenges will come from Africa and Africans in the diaspora. At Shirah and Studendly, we want to be at the forefront of making that possible,” she said.

During her visit to Zimbabwe, Ms. Abaniwonda will headline two major events in Harare. These events will engage key stakeholders from media, government, educational institutions, tourism, businesses, and individuals in meaningful dialogue to foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
