It’s that time of the year again when the Chainama Hills Golf Club (CHGC) fraternity gathers more than 150 golfers to partake in the combined President and Captain’s tournament. This year’s golf tournament is due to be held at Chainama Hills Golf Club on Saturday 23rd September 2023.

Building on the success of last year, the President and Captain of Chainama Hills Golf Club, Paul Nkhoma and Colonel Sydney Sichimata respectively will jointly host a combined tournament. It will also cap off a remarkable year that marks the end of their two-year tenure as President and Captain. The event is also being staged as a major annual event that brings together members of the Chainama Hills Golf Club and invited guests. This involves golfers from across the country who include Senior Executives of various corporate organisations, Senior Government leaders and prominent businessmen.

Participants will compete in a friendly yet spirited golf tournament on the beautiful fairways of Chainama Hills Golf Club. Following on from the golf tournament, there will be an awards ceremony held in the evening to recognize the winners for the day, outstanding staff performance, outgoing committee leadership, and various achievements made during the year.

The captain stressed that it would also be a day of friendly competition, networking and would serve as an as an opportunity for the President and me to honour our club members.

The President had this to say “As we prepare to tee off at this year’s Chainama Hills Golf Club President and Captain’s Golf Tournament, we can’t forget that that this tournament symbolizes not only our dedication to the sport of golf that we so love but also our commitment to fostering meaningful connections within our golfing community. We look forward to a day filled with great golf, shared memories, and the celebration of our shared passion for the game.”

Both the President and Captain expressed their delight in hosting the tournament but however, cautioned that the event is over-subscribed and hence will have limited entries to ensure a successful tournament and seamless draw. The pair expressed immense gratitude to all the organizations and individuals that have sponsored them with in-kind and cash support and they further thanked the organising committee for their tireless efforts in organizing the event.
