Zimbabwe’s second-largest mobile network provider, NetOne says its reviewed combo of products and services now offers more value and convenience to customers with customised packages comprising Voice, Data, and SMS bundles.

The mobile operator’s data bundles now allow users to stay connected for longer periods at affordable rates. Its innovative combo — powered by a high-speed mobile broadband connection with NetOne OneFi bundles — enhances access to fast internet browsing, and affordable calling rates for on-net, off-net local, regional and international calls.

With Zimbabwe’s ever-rising mobile internet penetration, the recent statistics from the Zimbabwe National Statistics (Zimstats) and the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (Potraz) ICT Access by Households and Individuals Report indicated that mobile data is now the most widely accessible form of connectivity at 95.7% for narrowband and 93.1% for broadband.

Speaking during a Dealer Engagement Session at the Rainbow Towers in Harare, the telecommunications firm’s Chief Commercial Officer Isiah Nyangari said, “Our data has more value, it comes with more gigs. We are very cognisant of the youth and we are offering them OneFusion — an efficient combo of voice, data, SMS package, and more importantly gaming.

“The voice package comes with the much-loved Dollar-A-Day (DAD 1 & 5) which has several benefits and is loaded with OnNet talk time, free calls, and SMSs. While we are catering to all our valued customers with voice packages, we are mainly data-centric and we look forward to launching the latest edition of mobile broadband technology — 5G in the near future,” he added.

“We have consistently reviewed the quality of our services to enhance internet connectivity. Our quality data packages appeal to diverse users and we are pushing more innovative products onto the market so as to remain on top of the game,” said NetOne Head Retail and Sales Nyaradzai Martin Shoko on the sidelines of the event.

NetOne’s Out of Bundle Browsing feature which allows users to separate regular airtime for calls only from data bundles for internet browsing stops airtime from being used for internet access.

Registered users are also able to send and receive money through the affordable and secure OneMoneyRemit platform as well as pay bills and groceries conveniently by simply dialing *111#.

NetOne has also made significant strides in mobile telephone infrastructure with major upgrades in mobile network services aimed at improving efficiency in mobile broadband.
