South Africa-based multi-genre Zimbabwean musician and businessman Mr P(real name Precious Hanya ) has officially released the much-talked about Mixed Bag.
The Mixed Bag which is his third album was launched on YouTube and other social media platforms, earlier yesterday.
Defined by the artist as a complete package,Mixed Bag has received a lot of media attention locally prior to its official launch.
The fruition of the twelve-track compilation was the result of engaging the services of seasoned and celebrated musicians who are gurus in various genres. Andy Muridzo, Hwindi President, Gonyeti (a former Jah Prayzer backing vocalist),Dino Mudondo,Obert Gomba and Nicolas Musonza are the big names on Mr P’s latest project.
Hanya had this to say about his lastest offering,in a recent interview,”The album is a mixed bag hence the title, it carries various messages about everyday life . It also has different genres to cater for a wider audience, the idea is to try and bridge the gap between old school and new school.”
Mr P launched his music career when he released his debut album – The Beginning – in 2013.ln September last year he made history for releasing the first full animated musical video for Cellphone,a track featuring popular musician Derreck Mpofu.
