South-African based multi-genre musician and entrepreneur, Precious Hanya popularly known as Mr P is sponsoring a music award in an effort to inspire budding artistes.
Mr P’s inaugural award will be presented to the best dance group at the finals of the Zim Talent Show.
Aimed at raising awareness against drug abuse amongst youths as well as promoting local talent,the event will be held on 23 December at Harare Gardens’ Theatre in the Park.
Commenting on the reasons for sponsoring the award,Mr P had this to say:”Just to give back , and to encourage the youngsters.”
The musician(Mr P) made history in September last year when he released the first complete animated video in Zimbabwe, for a track titled Cellphone. Featuring celebrated musician, Derreck Mpofu, the song brought Mr P instant fame.
At present Mr P is currently enjoying the success of his latest album Mixed Bag.The album embraces and employs a lot of genres.
