Turkish Vice President Mr Fuat Oktay made a statement to press members at Ercan Airport following his contacts in the TRNC on the occasion of the 44th Anniversary of the Peace and Freedom Day.
Expressing that 20th July has a great importance for the Turkish Cypriots and Turkey, Oktay said that a delegation has been in the TRNC as the representatives of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Oktay said that he paid his first abroad visit to the TRNC, and he wants to give the message to the whole world, not only to the Turkish Cypriots, that Turkey will continue to protect the rights of the TRNC under all conditions and disallow any fait accompli in the international arena.
