Rising Kadoma-born musician, Tafadzwa Takunda Dodzo (31) – aka 1no – has revealed that his recently officially launched new offering was born out of real-life events. Titled Fadzai, the Mine Boy Rap track, is purely a love song.

“Never wanna let you go coz you play a leading role. Every man needs a queen..,” goes the song

Officially to be released on YouTube and other social media platforms, the song features lnnocent Tafadzwa Nochange aka N.I.T. The latter also did the mixing and mastering of the track at Apeiro Gang Studio, a fast-growing music production house located in Eiffel Flats – part and parcel of the gold mining settlement of Kadoma.

According to 1no it was love that led to the fruition of his new song.

“I was inspired by my love for my then-girlfriend Fadzai (second name and surname withheld). Sadly we are no longer together,” the young musician elaborated during an interview.

With over 60 songs to his name, Dodzo is one of the four founders of Mine Boy Rap – a genre of music that has strong links with hip hop. Flyts, N.I.T, and 2Shots are the other three artistes who contributed to the birth of Mine Boy Rap.

Apart from producing his own music Dodzo is playing instrumental roles in identifying, mentoring, and uplifting talented upcoming musicians so that they achieve their goals, and gain recognition, in the music arena.
