SADC Executive Secretary to participate at 2024 IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings

The Executive Secretary of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), His Excellency Mr. Elias M. Magosi will lead the SADC Secretariat delegation to participate at the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank in Washington, D.C in the United States of America scheduled for 15 -20 April 2024.
The participation of the SADC Executive Secretary in this global platform that discusses emerging development issues across the world, signifies SADCโ€™s commitment to deepening development cooperation and engagement on the international stage.
On the margins of the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings, the SADC Executive Secretary will participate at the International Conference on the Miombo Woodlands, a Heads of State and Government High-Level Meeting, at the invitation of H.E Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique; and hold high-level engagements with officials of the United States Government, the World Bank, the Germany Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and the Institute for Economics and Peace, amongst others.
These engagements aim to enhance cooperation and build strategic partnerships in support of the SADC development and integration agenda, espoused in the SADC Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan (RISDP 2020-2030) and Vision 2050.
