Banket – Jessica Tapfumanei, a ZANU PF War Veterans League Provincial member who is eyeing the parliamentary seat for Zimbaba South Constituency has said the advancement of sports quality education guarantees an economically empowered nation for a prosperous country.

She made the remarks during a presidential campaign soccer tournament held in Banket.

Tapfumanei said President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision is to ensure that every person has access to educational skills that allows them to positively contribute towards the country’s economy.

“President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision is to ensure that every child has access to quality education. As the President’s foot soldiers, we need to ensure that the vision is fully fulfilled. As we head for the harmonized elections, let’s ensure we preserve that privilege by voting wisely,” she told thousands of people who thronged Kuwadzana Stadium for the soccer tournament that saw Division One plying Banket United Football Club exchange soccer notes with Dynamos Football Club.

Tapfumanei said only the citizens of Zimbabwe can build and defend their country.

“We have to jealously guard the future of our country by ensuring ZANU PF President’s victory in the coming harmonized elections,” she said.

Tapfumanei said people should take stock of the success stories of various aspects of the country since President Emmerson Mnangagwa assumed office.

The politician donated a soccer jersey kit and US$1600 to Banket United Football Club and pledged to pay for underprivileged children’s school fees.

She bankrolled the soccer tournament that saw Banket United Football Club share a one-all draw with Dynamos and a musical gala that featured Romeo Gasa and Poptain among others in conjunction with a ZANU PF affiliate organization Forever Association of Zimbabwe.
