Theatre in the Park hosts Kae Chaps this Friday

Rooftop Promotions run Theatre in the Park will this week host Kae Chaps of the Juzi fame on the ‘Jazz and Soul Friday Night’ on Friday the 18th of March 2022.

The Juzi hitmaker will be performing on this day from 6 PM to 10 PM. The admission is $10 and bookings can be done on 0782217462 or 0774232478. The public can alternatively visit Theatre in the Park offices located at corner Herbert Chitepo and Leopold Takawira avenues in the Harare Gardens.

The concert was organized by Rooftop Promotions in conjunction with Dollarbill Entertainment. Kae Chap’s manager Benjamin Mutandadzi confirmed that they are prepared for the concert and are very excited to be warming Theatre in the Park for the first time.

Born Kudakwashe Chapepa, the 25-year-old singer has a single album called ‘Vanga’ and two EPs (November 20 and A Pretty Short Life) in his name.

He has a couple of singles like Juzi, Gehena, Huchapa, Impilo, etc. He has collaborated with Nutty O on ‘Be My Girl’ from Nutty O’s latest album ‘Mustard Seed’. The artist was nominated for the 2021 ZIMA and NAMA awards.

He received the ‘Best Male Artist Award’ from the African Social and Entertainment Awards in 2021 in South Africa. He also snatched the ‘Song of the Year Award’ for his song Juzi from the Changamire Hip Hop Awards in 2021. The 2021 Zim Stars Awards also saw Kae Chaps walking away with the ‘Best New Comer Award’. In February this year, Kae Chaps shared the stage with Feli Nandi and Nyasha David in Cape Town at an event organized by Bashmouth Sound in South Africa.

This will be the sixth concert done under the ‘Jazz and Soul Friday Night’ banner at this venue this year, and he will be coming after Feli Nandi, Alick Macheso, Victor Kunonga, Hope Masike, and Gwevedzi Afro Acoustics Band. Next week, the venue will be hosting Baba Harare on the same platform on Friday the 25th of March. Rooftop Promotions programs and communications manager Passmore Ndlovu has confirmed the development saying that tickets are currently on sale.
