WWE The Horror Show at Extreme Rules

SuperSport
viewers on DStv can look forward to another pay-per-view special from the WWE, with WWE The Horror Show at Extreme Rules live from the company’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on the morning of Monday 20 July 2020.

SuperSport is your home of sport and the best place to see all the action from around the world as #LiveSportReturns.

The event, which is the 12th in the Extreme Rules chronology, will be headlined by a match for the WWE Championship between Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. The latter has been given the right to decide the kind of match which will take place, but he has thus far refused to reveal his thinking, giving him a psychological edge over the bruising Scotsman.

Both Women’s titles in the Raw and Smackdown brands will be on the line when Asuka defends against Sasha Banks and Bayley takes on Nikki Cross. Banks, who has been without a singles title for some time, will be itching to take the red-brand belt off ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’.

“We all have a journey and a story, and we’re able to tell people what we’ve overcome,” said the ‘Legit Boss’ Banks. “No one’s perfect, no one’s had an easy road or an easy life, but overcoming difficulty makes us who we are. I’m so thankful for everything that I’ve ever been through since I was a kid. If I didn’t go through those things, I wouldn’t be the strongest person I’ve ever been in my whole life.”

One of the highlights of the card is the ‘Wyatt Swamp Fight’, which will be filmed in an undisclosed location and will mark the return of ‘The Eater Of Worlds’ version of Bray Wyatt as he looks to strike down his former protege, Universal Champion Braun Strowman, at their old stomping grounds.

“What do you say, Bray. Do you want to go home? Do you want to go to the pace of your creation? Let’s Go. Because I’m ready to turn it into the place of your destruction. One… more… time, Bray. Let’s go home,” said Strowman, who will be looking to finally step out of the shadow of the man also known as ‘The Fiend’.

The Horror Show at Extreme Rules will also feature an ‘Eye for an Eye’ match as Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio bring their simmering rivalry to a head, Apollo Crews will defend his United States Championship against MVP, and  Jeff Hardy will seek revenge against his nemesis Sheamus in a bar fight.

No rival can compete with SuperSport‘s  coverage. Our viewers on DStv can see all their favourite superstars from the WWE universe!
