President Mnangagwa has assured members of the public that the nation’s health system has sufficient infrastructure to fight against COVID-19

Addressing a huge gathering in Epworth while launching the by-elections campaign yesterday, President Mnangagwa said despite the unavailability of lines of credit due to illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe, the country has adequate vaccines and ventilation services.

“Our health system is going on well under the supervision of the Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr. Constantino Chiwenga. We have adequate vaccines for all doses so go get vaccinated.

“Our hospitals have now adequate oxygen for those patients who need ventilation services as a result of the established Factory in Mutare that produces medical oxygen,” said President Mnangagwa.

As of yesterday, 2 485 had received the first dose, bringing the cumulative figure for the first dose to 4 311 842, 3 567 received their second dose bringing cumulative for the second dose to 3 343 024 while 1 722 received their third dose bringing cumulative for the third dose to 82 667.
